ME
I am a photographer, but my interest in the image began long before photography.
I have been drawing and painting since childhood. I have always been drawn to lettering, calligraphy, paper, materials and printed objects. Later came graphic design and visual identities. Photography brings many of these things together within the same space.
I am particularly sensitive to what takes place within an image: a light, a line, a texture, a composition that works without us always knowing exactly why. I am also drawn to images that leave something unexplained, that continue to evoke an emotion or raise a question long after they have been seen.
I began photographing on film, before moving to a digital SLR as digital photography became a more significant part of my practice.
Even today, I remain attached to this equipment, despite the widespread adoption of mirrorless cameras. I like the more raw rendering I achieve with a DSLR, but above all, I prefer an image that I shape myself to a predefined look.
Outside photography, graphic design still occupies an important place in my everyday life. I can spend a great deal of time looking at a typeface, a book cover, a textile, or the way a material responds to light.
I have a pronounced appreciation for things that are well made.
I naturally turn away from anything that feels artificial or approximate.
And perhaps because I am incapable of going through a day without looking for images everywhere, I still regularly finish a wedding wanting to do it all over again the next day.

I deliberately photograph a limited number of weddings each year.
This allows me to give each reportage the attention I want it to receive, particularly in the selection and post-production.
I work with couples who share this same understanding of photography: they do not consider their photographs as mere content to be shared, but as part of their story to preserve and pass down. They seek images that have meaning, that feel true to them, and that can continue to exist long after the moment in which they were created.
I am interested in creating perfect images as much as in creating true ones.
